El Arenal is a residential complex comprising bungalows and villas in El Rosario, one of the most sought-after urbanisation areas. It is well located being within 40 minutes drive of Malaga Airport and about one hour from Gibraltar Airport; being five minutes drive from the old town of Marbella it is also close enough to Puerto Banus for that occasional adventure and the high life. 5 minutes walk from of one of the best beaches on this coast, El Arenal also has its own swimming pool with showers and changing rooms.
The surrounding area boasts the highest concentration of golf courses in Spain. Watersports abound and, just to make you feel doubly secure, one of the best hospitals in Spain, The Costa del Sol. Ten minutes walk away are a tennis club, restaurants, shops and a beauty salon.
The nearest supermarket is at El Rosario, about 10 minutes walk or five minutes drive but there is a small shop nearer which sells English papers, bread, milk and so on. There is a Restaurant and a pub that does bar snacks, next to the shop. The out-of-town shopping Centre, La Canada, is about 10 minutes drive away and Puerto Banus is about 15 minutes.
There are many bars and restaurants in the area and along the beach. Further up the beach there are beach games and a bit further still, jet-skis and water skiing.
For golfers there are many courses in the area including Rio Real, Santa Clara and Los Monteros.
There is a regular bus service along the N340 (A7) and taxis are a practical alternative.
